Funny how Chicago is so serious about their police work, yet their crime rate is through the roof. Keep it up CPD!

The Chicago police department will never agree to be on Cops because it means they would have to stop beating suspects and stealing drugs.

Honolulu has a very high rate of cops being arrested for assault, drug trafficking and plain old corruption. Their chief resigned in January for the good of the force : ) It’s not surprising they don’t want the TV show anywhere near them.

THIS SHOW ALWAYS PISSED ME OFF. I AM NO CRIMINAL BUT I HATE COPS IN GENERAL. THEY HAVE BEEN THE MAIN CONCERN FOR ME WHEN TRAVELING SINCE THE 1960s. I CAN PROTECT MYSELF FROM CRIMINALS, BUT THE COPS AND THE LAWYERS AND THE JUDGES–WHICH COMPRISE ORGANIZED CRIME—ARE DANGEROUS NOT ONLY TO CRIMINALS, BUT TO ANYONE WHO DOES NOT BOW DOWN TO THEM. FUCK THEM ALL.

to me it’s clear that it’s at least partly fake because they never ever show the bad guys get away I know they do that to make people think they can’t escape the cops but in reality bad guys escape them very often. it’s a mind game they wanna keep vigilantes from doing the justice that their criminal courts won’t do

Bullshit. The REAL REASON the Chicago PD (and the other one) won’t allow Cameramen is because they don’t want their actions caught on tape. Especially when they can’t (conveniently) ‘accidentally erase’ the tapes. 😡

How about a sub-episode featuring the first two seasons of COPS and how many times suspects were released either on O.R. or completely, before the ‘cast’ was dissuaded from using logic and good judgement (ensuring every suspect was viewed as a ‘perp’ from about season 3 on)?

Most cops in the US are starting to use bodycams now. Once the tech gets perfected in the next decade or two, I doubt the show will exist. Everything will be online.

No comments on LAPD but everybody wants to talk about Chicago or even NYPD. LAPD started 2 fucken riots. Dumped a box of guns into watts. Introduced drugs and we live in projects. LAPD looks at everyone like we criminals because we live in the ghetto. We live in gang capital. SMFH

you want to know what I think of cops hahah what a ridiculous question I think they’re a legal gang that Rob’s everyone in the name of I’m just doing my job for the mayor so I can get their bonuses keep their job outside the station and less doing the paper work and also so they can have their power to bend you to theif will whenever they’d like that’s freedom guys I’m sure the founding fathers today would say even the most inhumane form of dictatorship that they had ever seen the American revoulcion was all fought over having to pay%3 and now they’re taxing 50% to this false idea of who the 1% if like to know

Funny Chicago and Honolulu are the two cities that don’t allow filming. Chicago is probably the most corrupt city in America and Honolulu Vice cops are allowed to have sex with prostitutes to get arrests.

My brother is one of the cops often shown in the Broward County episodes back when Nick Navarro was sheriff. No one knew the show was going to be as wildly popular as it is but it sure was funny to hear the stories of what went on behind the scenes (as well as reactions from people who saw a camera crew pop out of the car alongside the officers at a stop) every few days.

This show was so tilted in showing how good cops are. I find it amazing they never showed a citizen invoking their rights. At least, I never saw one. Ever see a refusal from someone when cops ask to search their car? Use the 1st or 5th Amendments? I asked these questions a long time ago on their FB page. The response I got was, it didn’t make for good television. Ever see a cop lie to a citizen on the show? Some may not know, but it’s perfectly legal for them to do so. It’s hard for me to put this show as a reality show because they don’t show just how real it is out there.

I live in Manchester, NH – COPS came and filmed here for almost a whole month.

Manchester is the biggest city in the tri state region / northern New England – an area comprising all of the states of Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire – so a major American city.

The old Chief of PD permitted filming…

Then a new Chief got on and immediately ended filming (as well as ‘upgrading’ the radios of the Department so citizens can no longer listen via scanners)

We are at the epicenter of the Northeastern heroin epidemic – an episode of COPS could have given us a nationwide platform to appeal for help.

I get so irritated every time I think of the missed opportunity.

I saw inner circle perform the bad boys / cops theme needless to see it was amazing, ESPECIALLY when the lead vocalist lit up a toilet paper roll sized blunt. Security went nuts but the venue was already pretty foggy by that point, they pissed and moaned but he continued the performance in their faces, it was epically hilarious.

The real reason that Chicago PD doesn’t allow COPS is because the CPD is both corrupt as fuck and they can’t actually drive for shit.

This show is HORRIBLE. REAL COPS IN MY HOME CAN BE CORRUPT. BUT WHILE THIS SHOW WAS RUNNING THE LOCAL POLICE TRIED TO OUT DO THE VIOLENCE ON TV IN REAL LIFE. THEY DESTROYED PEOPLE: THEIR REPUTATION, LIFE AND EVEN HEALTH ALL THE WHILE TRYING TO “ACT” COOLER THAN THE POLICE ON THE T.V. SHOW “COPS”. YOU TV PEOPLES SHOULD SHOW MORE RESPONSIBILITY ABOUT THE THINGS YOU PUT ON T.V..

Who wants to guess what 3 % of the population is responsible for 42 % of police deaths? DING DING DING it’s the blacks.

Black males between age 13-35 make up 3 % of the population yet commit 51 % of the murder, 67 % of the armed robbery and like I said are responsible for 42 % of police deaths. Not to mention black on white violence is 10x more likely than white on black violence so spare me your black victimhood nonsense. Police officers are also 18.5x more likely to be shot by a black person than to shoot one. Then this group of people cries and wonders why they’re overrepresented in police shootings lmao, maybe try not committing more crime than the rest of the country combined?

People actually support what they see on this show; all the serving, controlling and murdering done by my ex-coworkers has just emboldened them. When the Criminal Business System stops controlling their communities and starts serving, I’ll then stop sympathizing with those waging the war on Cops.

.. seriously, how they accidentally kill the sound guy?.. was he standing next to the suspect?.. or was he standing like 4 feet in front of a trigger happy cop?.. I’ll venture to guess he wasn’t standing next to the suspect.. so that leaves extremely unprofessional officers shooting wildly with no regard for safety of non-combatants aka innocent bystanders..after they get sued and lose, the money should come from police retirement funds, or somewhere other than taxpayers… Because when it comes from taxpayers there is no incentive to do better because they didn’t lose anything or were punished on any way
